Youth Work Manager - Strategic lead for open access, Street based and LGBTQ+ work

I have been working for Space (and formally Devon Youth Service) since 2002. I began my youth work career in a small youth centre in the west of Exeter. I quickly developed an interest in Street based youth work and was part of a team that developed Street based Youth work Across Exeter, and then into East and Mid Devon. I currently work across Devon supporting having an overview of open access Youth work and Street Based Youth work. 

Social Action Manager

I have worked for space for 15 years in a number of roles and areas. I love how varied the work is; from bringing the magic of youth work into supported housing for young people, to taking groups of young people struggling in school on Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and so much in between. I currently manage all things social action; from young volunteers to accreditation, the voice and influence of young people and supporting teams with projects to make change in their communities- it's still as varied as the day I started! I love being in nature and feel passionately that nature can support wellbeing and am looking to bring more of this into focus for the young people we are lucky enough to work with.

Youth work Manager for Exmouth/Digital and creative team

I Have worked for space now for over 10 years, starting as a volunteer and most recently starting my new job as a youth work manager supporting the Exmouth youth centre, Digital team and the creative team.

Youth Work Manager - Exeter, Tiverton, SEND and our Exeter and Culm Valley Young People Social Prescribing projects 

I got my first youth work job in 2005 running a small village youth club and I've been working for Space and formerly Devon Youth Service since 2006, during this time i've moved around quite a bit, and worked in various communities across the county. I believe that all young people are entitled to quality youth work, and strive to support and develop our teams to deliver it.
